Olivetti ICO MP1 portable metal typewriter in black, produced in Italy in 1930–1940, designed by Riccardo Levi, Gino Levi Martinoli with aesthetic input from Aldo and Adriano Magnelli, in discrete condition with signs of heavy use yet in working order and bearing verification marks.
Description from the seller
Olivetti portable suitcase-type typewriter, functioning but with the '=' key lever missing. It surely needs a cleaning and lubrication, but it is fully operative. The acronym "ICO" stands for Ingegnere Camillo Olivetti, founder of the company. Production period: It was launched in 1932 and remained in production until 1950, when it was replaced by the Olivetti Lettera 22. Design and mechanics: Mechanically designed by Riccardo Levi and Gino Levi Martinoli, with aesthetic input from Aldo and Adriano Magnelli. It features a 43-key QWERTY keyboard, typical of the Italian layout of that era. At the moment I do not ship to the United States.
