Description from the seller
Antique German Masse figures – Imperial infantry in march – ca. 1900–1925 (10 pieces)
Very fine and original set of antique German toy soldiers, executed as Imperial (Prussian) infantry in marching formation. These figures are manufactured from so-called composition material (Masse), a lightweight material that around the early 20th century was widely used for quality toys and dioramas.
The soldiers wear the distinctive German Imperial uniform with Pickelhaube, and are individually hand-painted. The natural wear and paint aging confirm the authenticity and age of the set.
