Danish Modern architectural candleholder in solid brass with a rosewood beam, measuring 33 × 8.5 × 5 cm and dating from the 1960s, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
An architectural Scandinavian mid-century modern candleholder crafted in solid brass and richly grained rosewood, dating to the late 1960s.
The composition is defined by a strict horizontal beam resting on a sharply profiled V-shaped brass support, creating a sculptural floating effect. The refined contrast between warm exotic hardwood and naturally patinated brass reflects the material philosophy of Danish Modern design.
The proportions, geometric clarity and restrained elegance situate this piece within high-quality Scandinavian production of the period.
The brass retains its original patina, enhancing authenticity and depth. The rosewood displays a beautiful natural grain with warm tonal variation.
• Scandinavia, circa 1965–1975
• Solid brass and rosewood
• 33 × 8.5 × 5 cm
• Very good vintage condition
• Minor age-related traces consistent with period use
A sculptural design object suitable both as a functional candleholder and as a refined modernist centerpiece.
