Uncut ruby meteorite from Mauritania, Tiris Zemmour region, 93 carats (about 18.66 g), single specimen.
Description from the seller
Approximate location of discovery
23°17' North
11°14' West
A large ruby crystal of almost 20 grams
A truly exceptional piece
This large ruby crystal (corundum) comes from Mauritania, (Tiris Zemmour region) about 100 km from the town of Zouerate.
I found this ruby during research and surveying in the Mauritanian desert
I am offering it as I found it; I have made no heat or chemical treatments, just cleaned with soapy water.
All photos were taken in natural daylight.
For some of them I placed the ruby on the lit flashlight of my mobile phone
To show the strong fluorescence response characteristic of corundums (rubies and sapphires) under ultraviolet light, I also illuminated this ruby with a small lamp that emits ultraviolet light.
I have photographed this gem as honestly and precisely as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting may lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tone.
The ruby you will receive is, of course, the one in the photos.
I ship quickly, securely, and discreetly in a sturdy C5-sized indestructible envelope (162 mm x 229 mm) via La Poste registered mail.
Shipped with a tracking and traceability code.
