Private collection of 30 handmade miniature historical firearms, dating to the Fine XX century, produced entirely by hand by a master artisan in the 1970s–80s and presented in three coordinated display frames, origins Italy, condition Excellent.
Description from the seller
Exceptional private collection composed of 29 miniature reproductions of historical weapons, presented in three coordinated display frames. Unlike common industrial replicas, each single piece in this lot is a unique piece crafted entirely by hand by a master artisan between the 1970s and 1980s. A patient and precise undertaking that lasted years.
Technical Details and Artistic Value:
The collection documents the evolution of firearms from the 16th to the 20th century. Each miniature is the result of an artisanal creative process that attended to every minute detail:
Corpus: 29 total pieces (a very rare number to find in a single artisanal lot).
Noble Materials: Hand-carved wooden stocks, metal barrels with brownish, gilded, and silver finishes.
Masterpieces of Micro-Sculpture: Of particular value are the "Carabina Sistema Soriano" (19th century) with the stock entirely engraved with hunting scenes in bas-relief and the "Pistola da Duello" with floral decorations incised on the barrel.
Historical Breadth: From Japanese and Spanish arquebuses (16th century) to Napoleonic rifles, up to modern icons like the Thompson 1928, the Browning 1910, and the Colt 1873 Revolver.
