Magnifique exemplaire d'une pièce historique américaine : la 5 Dollars Or Indian Head (Half Eagle), frappée en 1909.


Conçue par le sculpteur Bela Lyon Pratt, cette pièce est célèbre pour son design révolutionnaire en relief incuse (les motifs et légendes sont frappés en creux sous la surface de la pièce), une caractéristique unique dans la numismatique américaine partagée seulement avec la pièce de 2,50 dollars de la même époque.


Qualité : Très bel état. 

Avers : Le portrait du chef amérindien présente des détails nets au niveau des plumes de la coiffe et des traits du visage. La patine dorée est homogène avec un bel éclat d'origine.

• Revers : L'aigle debout sur le faisceau de flèches est parfaitement défini. Les inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM" et "IN GOD WE TRUST" sont bien lisibles.

• Remarque : Quelques micro-marques de circulation naturelles, conformes à son âge, n'altérant en rien la superbe esthétique générale de la pièce.
