Direct Line presents an intimate portrait suspended between proximity and distance. The figure holds a pink phone up to the face, in a gesture that suggests listening, anticipation and vulnerability. The tight framing intensifies the relationship between skin, object and gaze, transforming the act of communicating into an emotional and almost physical territory.

The blue background, marked by graphic layers and painterly gestures, contrasts with the precision of the portrait and introduces a tension between the human and the artificial, between visual noise and the clarity of direct contact. The color palette — warm on the figure, cool in the surrounding space — reinforces this duality, placing the subject on a threshold between interiority and exposure.

Hione is a visual artist from Porto who, since 2013, has used graffiti as his main form of expression. With a visual language marked by vibrant colors and defined shapes, his work reflects a strong connection to urban culture. Over the course of his career, he has developed a unique style that fuses graffiti, contemporary art, illustration and graphic design. He presents his works in public and private contexts, with the aim of provoking reflection and inspiring. Today he continues to explore new figurative approaches and to deepen the impact of his art on the space around him.
