Description from the seller

AUSTRIA. Vienna. 2 Schilling. 1929.

- Value: 2 Schilling.
- Year: 1929.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: THEODOR BILLROTH · BORN 1829 · * 1929 * with a left-facing bust and the engraver G. Jenner's signature. Reverse: REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH · 2 SCHILLING surrounding nine regional heraldic shields.
- Grade: MS64 (NGC).

Commemorative silver coin dedicated to the Austrian surgeon and physician Theodor Billroth, presented with a left-facing portrait in a realistic style and precise modeling, highlighting well-defined facial features and a high-quality sculptural execution. The reverse shows a harmonious composition of the Austrian provinces' shields arranged circularly around the face value, with crisp and balanced reliefs. The specimen retains an attractive original luster with a light clear patina and minimal surface marks typical of its grade, offering a very solid and elegant presence within the First Austrian Republic commemorative series.

Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
