International Postcards Auction

The Brazilian large landowning family Cibils founded the Cibils Meat Company in England in the seventies of the 19th century. It was the first company to market “meat extract,” and was a formidable competitor to the German/British firm Liebig, which at the same time produced corned beef and meat paste. 
Ages are estimates. Some backs are not pretty. There may be specimens with traces of use and aging. See the scans.

De Braziliaans grootgrondbezittersfamilie Cibils richtte in de zeventiger jaren van de 19e eeuw in Engeland de Cibils Meat Company op. Het was het eerste bedrijf dat “vleesextract” op de markt bracht, en was een geduchte concurrent van de Duits/Engelse firma Liebig die in diezelfde tijd corned beef en vleespasta produceerde.  
Leeftijden zijn schattingen. Sommige achterkanten zijn niet fraai. Er kunnen exemplaren zijn met sporen van gebruik- en ouderdom. Zie de scans.
