Full size violin with a medieval castle on the back!
The label says: Degani Giulio di Eugenio premiato con gran diploma d'onore in Milano e medaglia d'oro in Torino Anno 1896(?) fece in Venezia.
This violin is in an excellent used condition, beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. There is a small repair to left upper border but no cracks.
The softly flamed one piece maple back measures 358 mm. The total length of the violin is 586 mm. Width of the upper bout: 169 mm; middle: 112 mm; lower: 209 mm. Old ebony chin rest and tailpiece, rosewood pegs, master made bridge stamped "a Fils". The sound is very rich, deep, powerful.
