Description from the seller

A very special lever-decanting machine to present wine in a very special and exclusive way to your guests.

This piece is a mechanical decanting cradle (also known as a wine cradle), a classic sommelier accessory usually made of brass.

What is it for?
Its main function is to assist in serving old wines or Vintage Port wines, which have accumulated natural sediment over the years.

Sediment Control: The lever system allows tilting the bottle extremely slowly and steadily.
Stability: It avoids abrupt movements or vibrations that could mix the sediment with the liquid, ensuring the wine arrives to the glass or decanter clean.
Display: In addition to functionality, it is a traditional decorative piece in wine cellars and luxury restaurants.

How to use:
Positioning: Place the bottle in the support, ensuring the label is facing up and the bottle starts in the most horizontal position possible.
Operation: Gently turn the lever to tilt the bottle progressively while pouring the wine into a decanter or glass.
Monitoring: Traditionally, a light (such as a candle) is used under the neck to detect the moment when the sediment begins to reach the mouth, stopping the service at that moment.
