Large Natural Marine Shell – Cassis cornuta (Horned Helmet Shell)
Impressive natural marine shell, identified as Cassis cornuta, also known as the Horned Helmet Shell. This striking specimen features a powerful sculptural form with robust natural spines, a thick and well-developed outer lip, and a warm creamy interior with subtle amber and honey tones.
The shell displays a beautiful natural patina developed over time, with light marine spotting consistent with age and authenticity. Its solid, compact structure and generous proportions make it an outstanding decorative object, ideal for coastal, nautical, or mid-century inspired interiors.
Collected as a decorative natural history object during the 20th century, this shell is unpolished and untreated, preserving its genuine organic character.
