About This Camera
The Olympus PEN EE-2 is one of the most charming half-frame film cameras ever made. Produced from 1968 to 1971, it was designed by the legendary Yoshihisa Maitani — the same visionary behind the Olympus OM series. The EE-2 shoots 72 frames on a standard 36-exposure roll of 35mm film, making it an economical and creative tool for street photography. Its fixed D.Zuiko 28mm F3.5 lens (equivalent to 42mm in full-frame terms) delivers surprisingly sharp images, and the fully automatic selenium exposure system requires no batteries. Decades later, the PEN EE-2 remains a beloved collector's piece and a practical shooter for film photography enthusiasts worldwide.
