For all watches with metal bracelets and leather, rubber, Nato, etc., it is possible to remove links, punch/shorten with DIY tools. If you are not able to do it yourself, please consult a professional.
All automatic watches require winding at first use; the movement of the wrist alone is not sufficient to maintain the necessary power reserve.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid potential damage to the movement, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for adjustments, carefully unscrew counterclockwise. Don’t forget to tighten the crown properly after making the desired adjustments.)
