This fascinating ashtray is an authentic piece of Italian design history, attributed to the creative genius of Dino Martens (1894-1970), one of the most important Murano glass designers of the twentieth century. Although unsigned, its distinctive features clearly point to the production of A.VE.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese), with which Martens collaborated extensively.
The design and technique used are a perfect example of Martens' famous style known as "Tutti Frutti" or "Oriente".
