Description from the seller
GENERAL
This 1989 Rolls-Royce Corniche II represents the pinnacle of British artisanal luxury from the late 1980s. This model is an evolution of the original Corniche, entirely bodied by the prestigious Mulliner Park Ward firm, and stands out for including significant technical improvements such as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and a more refined engine management. It is a strictly preserved example, never restored, maintaining all the originality with which it left the factory. It is currently part of a major private collection where it has been used very sparingly, mainly for occasional family events, ensuring a low usage load and proven reliability.
CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA
The vehicle shines with an intense gloss on its bodywork, preserving much of the original paint applied at the Crewe factory. Only partial interventions have been made in specific areas to mend minor scratches typical of use and storage in a garage, such as light marks from side door openings. Visually, defects are minimal and barely noticeable in photographs, maintaining the elegance and imposing presence that characterizes Mulliner Park Ward designs.
MECÁNICA
Given the low mileage indicated by the odometer, the 6.75-liter V8 engine is in a condition that can be described as nearly new. The car starts without hesitation every time and received a full service and tune-up about a year ago. The gearbox operates with the smoothness expected of a Rolls-Royce. The only detail to note is that during the latest technical inspection a small loss of fluid in the steering was observed, a common symptom of limited use in recent times; it is a simple, low-cost intervention that does not compromise the excellent mechanical health of the ensemble.
INTERIOR
The cabin retains the original factory configuration with an extraordinary level of preservation. A few years ago, the leather underwent a professional hydration and retinting treatment to restore its flexibility and showroom-like appearance, minimizing any signs of wear typical with time. The overall look is impeccable, reflecting the extreme care and low mileage of the unit, combining noble woods and high-quality leathers in a state rarely found on the current market.
DOCUMENTACIÓN
The history of this Corniche II is completely transparent and verifiable. The mileage shown is real and supported by records from the technical inspections (ITV), which the vehicle has regularly passed. The documentary traceability since records began confirms that it is a genuine unit, free of accidents and maintained under a strict originality criterion, making it a very solid investment opportunity for collectors.
RECOGIDA
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. After the lot is awarded, the buyer can benefit from a 20-day free storage period in secure facilities. This period is ideal for coordinating collection or arranging a specialized transport service that ensures delivery of the vehicle to its new destination in optimal condition.
OTRA INFORMACIÓN
Structurally, the car’s undercarriage is in perfect condition and shows no trace of rust, confirming that it has always been kept in a dry, protected environment. The combination of being a Mulliner Park Ward-bodied model, its un-restored original state, and its low usage makes this Rolls-Royce one of those rare market opportunities that appear very infrequently. It is a piece ready to continue being enjoyed with the reliability of a car that has been maintained by enthusiasts of the highest level.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
