Description from the seller
A universal symbol turned into a car. Official document and representation of the Volkswagen Beetle 1967, known in the Spanish-speaking world as the Beetle, one of the most balanced and valued versions in the long history of the Type 1. In 1967, the Beetle reached technical and aesthetic maturity that cemented it as a global icon of accessible, robust, and timeless mobility.
The 1967 Beetle kept the unmistakable silhouette that had defined generations: rounded forms, prominent headlights, and a compact body that seemed designed more by engineering logic than by passing fashions. Its design did not need adornments; its identity was absolute. Every curve responded to a philosophy of simplicity, functionality, and durability.
Under its rear lid beat the characteristic air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine, mounted in a rear position. In the 1300 or 1500 version depending on market, it offered between about 40 and 53 hp, enough for a light and efficient car. Paired with a four-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, it provided straightforward, honest driving and surprisingly solid performance for its size.
The 1967 model introduced important improvements: 12-volt electrical system, optimized brakes, and small refinements in safety and comfort. These updates make it today one of the most valued years by enthusiasts, combining classic charm with greater usability.
Its true strength wasn’t in the numbers but in its character. The Beetle was durable, easy to maintain, and able to adapt to any environment, from European cities to American roads or rural lanes in Latin America. It was a family car, a student vehicle, a work tool, and a cultural symbol at the same time.
More than a car, the 1967 Beetle represents an era. An industrial object that transcended its function to become a social phenomenon. Today it remains a deeply beloved classic piece, a reflection of simple yet brilliant engineering that achieved something extraordinary: putting the world on wheels with humility and its own personality.
It comes with a black wood frame and synthetic glass. Very well wrapped and protected for trouble-free transport until you have it in your hands. Exterior dimensions are 63 x 93 cm and 3 cm in depth.
Large-format print with gallery-quality. Museum-grade cotton canvas paper 340 g/m2.
FRAME INCLUDED, you will only have to hang it on the wall. Shipping inside a wooden box, to prevent any impact. See the photos.
We ship worldwide, very well protected via UPS/DHL/FedEx with insurance and shipment tracking, the day after payment. You can visit our profile to see other beautiful Porsche items we have available!
