Description from the seller

Finest porcelain tableware Rosenthal, Sanssouci model (characterized by the famous lattice or cane motif inspired by the ceilings of Frederick the Great's residence in Potsdam).
The set, originally purchased in 1933, belonged to a single family and has reached us in excellent condition. The peculiarity that makes this lot of extreme interest to collectors and auction houses is the presence of as many as 36 flat plates, a “parade” set rarity to find complete on the antique market.
• Brand: Rosenthal / Selb-Bavaria (Green hallmark with crown and two roses, period 1920-1935)
• Model: Sanssouci Diplomat/Rose
• Décor: Refined bouquets of pink flowers and borders in fine gold on ivory-colored porcelain
• Craftsmanship: Molded edges with reliefs typical of the Prussian Rococo period
• Authenticity: Confirmed directly by Rosenthal via verification of the original mark present on the pieces
• 36 Flat Plates (absolute rarity in number and integrity)
• 12 Soup Plates
• 12 Dessert Plates
• 1 monumental tureen with lid and volute handles
• 1 gravy boat with original coordinated spoon
• 1 large salad bowl
• 2 serving stands (dessert/fruit service)
• 2 large round serving plates
• 4 oval serving plates (scaled sizes: 1 large, 1 medium, 2 small)
• 2 casserole dishes
DELIVERY
• Given the delicacy and historical importance of the lot, hand delivery/pick-up in Turin is preferred to guarantee the total integrity of the merchandise
