Description from the seller
Luxurious Game Case.
The item for sale is a unique, antique gaming set, enclosed in an elegant case crafted from black, lacquered wood.
Exterior: Deep black lacquer interrupted by subtle gold borders. On the center of the lid lies an ornate, geometric-plant motif created with inlay technique, with a central panel prepared for engraving or crest.
Interior: Divided into precise compartments, finished in natural wood with a warm tone.
Accessories: A rich set of colorful tokens (both round and rectangular) with markings of historical brands such as Bonal, Martini, Rossi, or Arquebuse de l'Hermitage, giving the whole a distinctive retro character. The set also includes unique wooden counters/markers with bone-inlaid elements.
Condition and defects:
As an item with historical provenance, the case shows natural signs of many years of use, which attest to its authenticity:
Lacquer: Visible superficial scratches and small lacquer cracks. The base of the box has been renewed.
Hardware: Gilding on the edges shows wear, imparting a noble patina to the item.
Completeness: The set includes fragments of historical papers ("Papier d'Arménie") that are torn. Missing key to the lock.
Accessories: Some tokens may have minor paint chips or discolorations due to the age of the material.
