France origin; honey‑yellow damassé cotton table service with rose and foliage borders, central honeycomb pattern, MB monograms on the napkin and two monograms on the tablecloth, 13 pieces including a 2 m by 1.40 m napkin with rounded ends and 12 napkins 58 × 60 cm, weighing around 1 kg, in unused condition with slight storage stains, dating to ca. 1940–1950.

Honey-yellow damask cotton table service with decoration of roses and foliage along the edges - center in a honeycomb pattern - monogram on the tablecloth (2) and on the napkins (1) with the initials "MB" rendered in flat bourdon stitch
on the warp edges - ends of the tablecloth rounded - small stitches done by hand - for the napkins machine-stitched
the damask cotton is a technique imported from the city of Damasse - the weaving threads are worked to form a relief design
new - a few stains due to storage
1 tablecloth with rounded ends - length 2 m - width 1.40 m - 2 monograms diameter 4.5 cm
12 napkins - 58 cm x 60 cm - 1 monogram in the corner
French workmanship - spinning/weaving from Northern France or the Vosges
