Introduction
Discover the foundation of professional studio photography with the Plaubel Peco Supra II. Manufactured in Frankfurt, Germany, during the 1960s, this monorail view camera is a testament to the era's uncompromising mechanical precision. As an evolution of the original Supra, the "II" model offered refined controls for photographers who required absolute command over perspective and depth of field. Built from heavy-duty metal with a characteristic "hammered" grey finish, it is a versatile workhorse capable of handling multiple formats, making it a prized instrument for large-format enthusiasts and architectural photographers.

Key Benefits
Total Perspective Control: The monorail design allows for extensive rise, fall, shift, tilt, and swing movements on both the front and rear standards.

Modular Versatility: Designed to accommodate various film formats, from 6x9 cm roll film adapters to 4x5 inch (9x12 cm) sheet film.

German Over-Engineering: Constructed entirely of robust metal, this camera provides a stable platform that maintains alignment even with heavy lenses.

Features
Camera Type: Monorail View Camera

Format: Primarily 4x5 inch / 9x12 cm (interchangeable backs for other formats)

Body Construction: Cast metal with a grey hammered enamel finish

Movements (Front & Rear): * Geared Rise and Fall

Lateral Shift

Axis Tilts and Swings

Focusing: Dual rack-and-pinion geared focusing on a flat optical bench (monorail)

Back: Revolving ground-glass back with integrated spirit levels for horizontal and vertical alignment

Monorail Length: Standard 320mm to 500mm extendable flat rail (model dependent)

Condition
Rated: 3/5 (Authentic Vintage Condition)

Cosmetic: The metal body shows a heavy patina, with visible wear and some surface oxidation on the chrome rails and adjustment screws, as shown in the photos. The hammered finish remains largely intact, giving it a strong industrial aesthetic.

Optical: The ground-glass focusing screen is present and intact, featuring a clear grid for architectural alignment.

Mechanical: All adjustment knobs and locking levers are present. The geared focusing movement is functional, though it may benefit from light cleaning/lubrication due to age.

Note: This camera is sold without bellows and lens. It is intended as a base for restoration or as a high-end display/collector's piece.
