The cornucopia, literally horn of plenty, from Latin cornu ("horn") and copia ("abundance"), is a mythological symbol of food and plenty.
The shape is that of a horn overflowing; fruit and flowers are often depicted in the arms of figures in paintings, also as one of the traditional attributes of fortune.
