Famille arabe, a circa 1880 albumen print portrait from Egypt attributed to JP Sebah, 19 × 26 cm, unsigned, in very good condition, mounted on cardboard support.

Circa 1880, 19x26 cm.
"Arab Family", a very beautiful portrait from the end of the nineteenth century (Egypt), attributed to JP Sebah.
Very fine era albumen print in very good condition, mounted on a cardboard backing.
Excellent preservation of contrasts, greys, and detail levels.
Labeled in the negative.
Jean‑Paul Sebah (1872–1947) was a photographer active in Istanbul, heir to an important dynasty of photographers established in the Ottoman Empire. He is the son of the famous photographer Pascal Sébah, who had founded in the 1850s one of the most renowned photographic studios in Constantinople.
A small conservatoire PR, not to be missed.
Will be shipped with its case and the cardboard backing on neutral pH (ideal for a collection kept in good condition).
