Up for auction a fascinating specimen of 1 Sol of the Republic of Peru, minted in the year 1930. This coin represents one of the most iconic symbols of South American numismatics, known for its splendid neoclassical design and its significant silver content.

Design Description:
• Obverse: The national coat of arms of Peru, flanked by a palm branch and a laurel branch tied with a ribbon. Above the coat of arms, a civic crown. Legend: "REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA 5 DECIMOS FINO" and the date "1930".
• Reverse: The seated Liberty ("Libertad Sentada") facing right, with shield adorned by the sun and a spear topped with the Phrygian cap. Beside her, a column with the inscription "LIBER-TAD". Legend: "FIRME Y FELIZ POR LA UNION" (Strong and happy for the Union). In exergue: "UN SOL".
