Description from the seller
Napoleon III French Jewelry Table, with Inlays in Fine Woods
Refined Napoleon III antique jewelry table, French manufacture from the second half of the 19th century, made in precious woods with elegant floral inlays and finely executed ornamental motifs on the top and front.
The shaped top presents a rich inlaid decoration with volutes, vegetal motifs and central reserve, framed by thin fillets that highlight the contrast between the different wood species. The front is embellished by a drawer with a central lock and refined inlaid decorations in perfect condition.
The piece rests on four turned and fluted legs, connected by an elegant shaped crosspiece with a central molded element, which gives stability and a sense of dynamism to the structure.
The interior, accessible by lifting the top, reveals a framed mirror and a storage compartment with compartments and a sliding top, entirely veneered in burr wood, designed to house jewelry and precious objects. The hinges and brass fittings complete the ensemble with discreet elegance.
Furniture perfectly preserved, of great charm and craftsmanship, ideal for classical rooms, boudoirs, or refined antique collections.
