Description from the seller

Umbrella stand “Achenio” attributed to Caporali – Italian design in wrought iron

Rare and scenographic decorative accessory attributed to Caporali production, known model Achenio, expression of postwar Italian design between functionalism and sculptural taste.
The piece originates as a multifunction entrance umbrella stand, with a vertical wrought iron brunito structure and hand-hammered spherical terminals, arranged radially like a flower cluster or a botanical seed, hence the name “Achenio.” The basin-shaped base in brass-coated metal collects the rain from the umbrellas and provides stability to the structure. Thanks to the presence of numerous upper and lower arms, the piece can also be used as an entrance coat rack, a stand-alone support, or a sculptural decorative element.
An object perfect for modern, industrial, or eclectic interiors.
