Voodoo altar fetish "Aklama" Adan Ghana 27.5 cm

These small figures, made of light wood coated with pigments, are ritual objects of the Voodoo cult and are used by the Ewe-speaking Adangbe / Ada of Ghana, on the border with Togo.

These Ade statuettes represent the various deities associated with hunting, which are also common to the Yoruba and Ewe.

Regarding their use, these objects appear on individual altars, but we have already seen photos of them grouped in a basket and clothed with a piece of fabric, in the manner of the Ewe Vinavi.

 Ces petits personnages, en bois léger enduit de pigments  sont des objets rituels du culte vaudou et sont utilisés par les Ewé de langue Adangbe / Ada du Ghana, à la lisière du Togo.

Ces statuettes Ade représentent les diverses divinités liées à la chasse, qui sont aussi communes aux Yoruba et Ewé.

Concernant leur usage, ces objets se retrouvent sur les autels particuliers, mais nous avons déjà vu des photos les représentant regroupés dans un panier et revêtus d'un morceau d'étoffe, à la manière des Vinavi des Ewé.
