Description from the seller
Mercedes-Benz 260SE.
A rare chance to become the owner of a beautiful Mercedes-Benz 260SE W126, a true classic in exceptionally good and original condition. This 1988 sedan exudes class and is ready for a new enthusiast.
Technical:
With only 189,000 original kilometers on the odometer, this 260SE runs, shifts, and drives excellently. Both under the hood and in the trunk everything is neat and clean, a testament to careful maintenance.
Interior:
Beautiful and clean; the left seat does have a few age-related imperfections as visible in the photos.
Step in and experience the perfect interior this W126 has to offer. Complete with a working sliding/tilt sunroof, an original Becker radio, comfortable headrests at the front, and a practical center armrest. Even the spare wheel sits with tools in the trunk like new.
Exterior:
The paintwork is largely original and very neat. (the right rear panel has been repainted once) The chrome trim is neat and tight, further emphasizing the stately look of this Mercedes-Benz. However, there is some corrosion on the corners of the rear bumper (see photos).
Miscellaneous:
Of course this splendid sedan is 38 years old and has been used less in recent years. There will always be small items that could be improved to suit your wishes. We describe our cars as honestly and accurately as possible, but they remain used vehicles. If you have doubts, we warmly invite you to come and view the car!
For registration within Europe no COC document is required (due to the age of the car). We are happy to assist with transport across Europe.
Viewing:
This Mercedes 260SE can be viewed and potentially collected in Damwoude, the Netherlands. Please contact us for an appointment and experience the timeless class of this remarkable car for yourself!

Buyers are responsible for vehicle's registration, not the seller or Catawiki.
Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
