Description from the seller
NAD 3155 Integrated Amplifier – Japanese top quality from the NAD golden era (1985–1987)
An exceptionally well-built and underappreciated integrated amplifier from NAD, from the period when the brand established its reputation with sonically powerful and technically thoughtful designs.
The NAD 3155 was positioned at introduction as a “two-in-one” solution: a high-quality preamplifier combined with a powerful high-current power amplifier. This results in a particularly musical, spacious and full sound, with a touch of warmth that is characteristic of the classic NAD signature.
What sets this model apart is the Japanese production, which guarantees higher build quality and better component quality than many other NAD models from that period. Internally the amplifier is richly equipped with a heavy transformer, generous heatsinks and an advanced circuit that easily drives demanding speakers.
The integrated MM/MC phono preamplifier with adjustable capacitance makes this model particularly attractive for vinyl enthusiasts and offers performance typically found only in standalone phono stages from a higher class.
In sonic terms the NAD 3155 delivers a convincing and musical whole:
• Full and powerful bass response
• Wide, spacious stereo presentation
• Natural, slightly warm tonal character
• Pleasant, non-fatiguing listening experience
An amplifier that doesn’t analyze music, but lets it be experienced.
