Lekythos from Ancient Greece, a 4th century B.C. ceramic red-figure miniature vessel, 9 cm high, 7.5 cm wide and 7.5 cm deep, acquired in 2026 from a Spanish gallery with an original certificate, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Lekythos - Ancient Greece - 4th century B.C. - Clay
red figure miniature pottery squat decorated on the front of the body with a female head in profile, framed by a pair of foliate sprigs. Its decoration indicates that it belonged to a woman of high social class. These types of pieces were used to store perfumes or ointments, with a closed opening that allowed the liquid to be poured little by little.
Acquired from a Spanish gallery (2026), with original certificate,
