Pioneer A 718 MKII, manufactured in Japan circa 1988–1989, in very good physical condition, tested and working with a power cord included, weight 19 kg.
Description from the seller
Pioneer A 717 MKII Reference amplifier very well built. Sound on both channels without noises and crackles. Functional on all inputs. Great phono mode. Technically, it is not without errors. The muting button does not work. You can see in the pictures also the small golden muting button is missing. Optically with normal signs of use. The upper left corner is very slightly damaged, you can see in the pictures. Only bid if you agree with the description and defects!!
The Pioneer A-717 Mark II is a powerful integrated amplifier from the "Reference" series, manufactured in Japan in the late 1980s (around 1988-1989). It is known for its extremely robust construction, large weight of around 19 kg and stable performance even under demanding loads.
Key features and sound
Powerful and stable sound: Delivers 100W per channel at 8 ohms with very low distortion (0.003%). Users often highlight its ability to maintain a clear and stable sound image even at high volume levels.
Audiophile construction: The interior features a copper "waben" chassis (honeycomb structure) that reduces vibration and magnetic interference. It has two shielded transformers and massive aluminum buttons on the front panel.
"Warm" sound profile: Often described as an amplifier with a sound reminiscent of tube amplifiers ("tubey") — with softer highs and full bass, which makes it pleasant to listen to for long periods without fatigue.
Quality Phono Section: Features an isolated phono section that supports both MM and MC speakers, which is highly valued by vinyl enthusiasts
