Description from the seller
Hand-painted porcelain coffee service – European production – first half of the 20th century
Elegant fine porcelain coffee service, characterized by non-industrial workmanship and rich ornamental decorations.
The service features refined floral motifs with gilded edging with iridescent purple shading
shaped handles and gilded, flowing forms and careful detailing
Particularly interesting is the not perfectly uniform pieces:
the cups and the other elements show slight differences in shape, proportions and decorations. This indicates artisanal production, where each piece was finished individually.
The gilding and decorative motifs show small variations, further sign of manual workmanship.
Present number “2090” under the base, probably related to the model or the series.
Lack of a manufacturer's mark, a feature found in some European productions of the period.
Lot composition:
1 coffee pot with lid, width 19 cm, height 21 cm
1 sugar bowl with lid, diameter 15.5 cm and height 11.5 cm
1 milk jug, diameter 14 cm and height 12 cm
11 coffee cups, diameter 5.5 cm and height 5.5 cm
11 saucers, diameter 11.5 cm
Good overall condition, with normal signs of aging.
Slight wear to the gilding and small imperfections due to the workmanship.
Elegant and decorative service, ideal for collectors or classic interior decoration.
