Two miniature Ashanti stools (also known as asesedwa) from Ghana. These wooden stools are not ordinary furniture, but sacred symbols of kingship, authority, and the soul of the Akan people. They are used during ceremonial occasions such as coronations and funerals, and serve as thrones for kings and queen mothers.
