Limoges porcelain soup tureen by Charles Ahrenfeldt, with double maker and decorator marks, hand-painted purple flowers with green foliage on white, lightly relief-embossed gilt edge, dimensions 26 cm high by 18 cm wide, weight 1 kg, produced between 1927 and 1930, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, part of a service and suitable for wall display.
Description from the seller
Limoges porcelain from the Charles Ahrenfeldt Factory, which won the Grand Prize at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in 1925 in Paris.
Double marks: Charles Ahrenfeldt, one as manufacturer in green and the other as decorator in red, on the back of each piece.
Floral pattern with violet flowers and green foliage on a white background. The border is a lightly relief-embossed white with gold flecks.
Hand-painted decoration and fine gold gilding.
This tureen was made between 1927 and 1930. It is part of a service that has been in our family since 1930.
Unique model in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. Even the interior is decorated.
Blending modern and antique has become very fashionable; you can even hang it on the wall as a decorative object.
