Wooden sewing box with pyrography decoration, circa 1930-1950.
Charming two-compartment light-wood sewing box, fitted with a central dark-wood handle for easy transport. The faces are decorated with pyrography depicting a landscape with half-timbered houses with stepped gables, a church and Alsatian storks (one on its nest and two in flight carrying twigs). When unfolded, it opens to approximately 90 cm wide.
Good condition with some knocks and a small chip on the handles. Weight 1900 g. Folded dimensions: length 33 cm, width 19 cm, height 24 cm. Unfolded: about 90 cm wide.
