Beautifully carved ancestor figure from the Loma-community in Northern-Togo. Very striking carving with its protruding and open mouth. Rudimentary eyes. Nice patina on this figure. These figures of this small Togolese community are rare to find. Some insect damage at the back of the arms and at the feet. All signs of long usage. Height: 33 cm. Collected in Togo in the late 1990`s.
