Technics, Sota - Sapphire - EPA-100 MK1 Turntable - Multiple models

You are bidding on a Technics tonearm EPA 100 MK1, mounted on a SOTA Sapphire turntable platter. In this combination, a top-class setup. Therefore both components are being auctioned together.

The Van den Hul system is not included in this auction. It can be purchased under a separate lot number.

The tonearm is made of matte silver titanium nitride and is completely without scratches. The ruby bearing runs quietly and smoothly. It has no play, does not jerk, and is perfectly balanced mounted. The damping of the bass resonance can be adjusted to suit the cartridge used, if required. Also included is the original operating manual from Matsushita Electric Trading Co in English and German, as well as a test report with additional measurements.

The turntable platter is a SOTA Star Sapphire imported from the USA. It features a vacuum hold-on system that “sucks” the record in place, providing stability. Warping is prevented and the tracking is optimized. The platter is supplied fully with all original parts, including the power supply, the (silent) vacuum pump, the associated “Electronic Flywheel,” as well as all cables. The original box and the operating manual are also included and form part of the auction.
