Alessandro Gandolfi - Wadden #2

The photograph comes from a 2024 project carried out along the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage site: in this image shot at Büsum, on the German coast, the low tide creates fascinating geometries in the muddy expanse; mussels, snails, crabs and many other animals hide there, food for the millions of migratory birds that pass through on their long journey to Africa.

The image is signed on the back and measures 30x40 cm. It is printed in a limited edition (25 copies) on Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 g paper and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Alessandro Gandolfi is an Italian professional photographer and journalist, co-founder of the agency Parallelozero. Interested in telling the small and great changes of contemporary society, his reports have appeared in media outlets around the world and have been exhibited in various international photo exhibitions and festivals. He has received international recognitions such as the Sony World Photography Award, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism, the POY - Pictures of the Year, and the PDN. Eight of his reports published in National Geographic Italia have earned the “Best Edit Award” as the best reportage across the magazine’s different local editions.
