Description from the seller

Precious tablecloth that is part of a high handcrafted Italian linen set from the 1980s/1990s. The item is a 'Fondo di Magazzino' (warehouse find), i.e., an era piece never used, never washed, and still kept in its original sealed packaging.

Fabric: high-quality Mistolino (Linen/Cotton), fresh, sturdy, and natural white in color.

Work: The pleated edge is entirely decorated with a tall insert in Cantù lace (tombolo technique) executed strictly by hand. The design (Model Art. 673) features complex floral motifs with raised relief and elegant scrolls.

Dimensions: standard (indicated as "m.l." on the label).

Elements of Guarantee and Authenticity

Control stamp: Present is a numbered label from the "Linen Protection Commission", certifying the quality and provenance of the fiber.

Original seals: The packaging still bears the era’s price in lire (415,000 lire), testifying to the high commercial value already at the time of production.

Documentation: Includes an illustrated sheet with the schematic of the artisan design.

Condition of Preservation

The item is new and sealed. Despite its age, there are no halos or humidity stains visible through the packaging, making it a rare piece for its condition.

Notes for the Buyer

This tablecloth is a classic example of "parade linen", intended for special occasions or antique textile collectors. The lacework alone requires hundreds of hours of patient manual labor, making each piece unique.

Summary Evaluation

Rarity: High (due to intact seals).

Craftsmanship: Excellent
