Description from the seller

Unique lot of three authentic vintage Japanese kitchen knives, each with its own character and traditional function. This set consists of a yanagiba (34 cm), nakiri (30 cm) and kiritsuke (27 cm) – a beautiful combination for lovers of the Japanese kitchen and artisanal knives.

The yanagiba is the long, slim blade that is perfect for finely slicing fish and sashimi. The nakiri, with its rectangular blade, is ideal for quick and precise chopping of vegetables. The kiritsuke combines elegance with versatility and is often seen as an all-round chef’s knife with a traditional look.

All knives are in clearly used vintage condition, with a beautiful, seasoned patina on the blades and visible signs of age and use. The wooden handles show wear, discoloration and small cracks, which is typical for older Japanese knives and enhances their authentic charm. The Japanese markings on the blades and handles give this lot extra collector’s value.

Perfect for collectors, lovers of Japanese knives or restoration projects. With proper care and sharpening these knives can shine again in the kitchen or serve as decorative and characterful pieces.
