Ancient Chinese Ming Dynasty ridge tile with a horseman, dating to the 17th century, in fine moulded and glazed ceramic (sancai) in green, ochre and cream, 28.2 cm high and 21.6 cm long, in good condition.

Large Chinese Ming Dynasty ridge tile
Important molded and glazed ceramic cavalry statuette on a roof tile crest.
Female rider dressed in a loose-fitting garment with fitted sleeves and a pointed cape.
She stands upright on her horse, one foot raised on a length of the leg. Her other arm is folded against her chest, holding a round object in her hand.
Sancai-type glaze ceramic, in green, ochre and cream, eyes accentuated in black.
Ming Dynasty, 1368 to 1644 AD.
Height 28.2 cm - length 21.6 cm
Perfect condition, no shine, no damage - piece completely intact
