Very decorative antique cabinet in Napoleon III style – marble, marquetry, bronze and porcelain medallions – ca. 1880–1920
Elegant and richly executed cabinet in the typical Napoleon III style, with influences from Louis XV and XVI.
The furniture is distinguished by the fine marquetry with floral motifs, with a central element a large oval panel that immediately catches the eye.
The cabinet is fitted with an original marble top with natural markings. Furthermore richly finished with bronze ornaments, including striking female figures on the sides, indicating a high-quality execution.
Notably are the decorative porcelain medallions, which are rare and give the piece an extra refined and unique appearance.
Probably made in France or Italy, from veneer on a solid core.
A very decorative and characterful piece that immediately draws attention.
Condition: good used condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age.
