Three decorative and functional pieces in beech, from the 1960s Nederlands design, including one old school stool (about 2.5 kg, over 45 cm high, 25 cm wide and 25 cm deep), a second small side stool (about 1.5 kg, 32 cm high with a 24 by 29 cm surface) and a third wall stool/side table (about 1 kg, 31 cm high, 21 cm deep and 39 cm wide), all in brown and in good condition with light signs of age and small stains.
Description from the seller
Three very decorative (and functional) stools/side tables. It concerns one old school stool and two small side tables/stool for children. The school stool weighs about 2.5 kg, height just over 45 cm, width and depth are 25 cm; the other stool is 32 cm high and the top is 24 cm x 29 cm. This stool has rounded corners and weighs about 1.5 kg. The third stool is a kind of wall stool / wall table. What this stool was used for is not clear, but it is a beautiful, stylish piece of furniture. This table stands 31 cm high, 21 cm deep and 39 cm wide. It weighs almost 1 kg. The furniture pieces are made of beech and all date from the 1960s of the last century.
Very nice on the school stool are all the signs of use. Probably many children used it, but it also seems the stool was once used as a kind of work table on which a hammer was used. If these signs of use give the stool something very beautiful indeed; all those children who mistreated the furniture.
The other two stools are perhaps better described as tables. They have the typical 1960s styling with slightly tapered legs. Both tables show logical signs of use. The four-legged table has a small crack in the top (see photo) and both tables have planing marks where the varnish has been rubbed off the wood. All signs of use give the furniture a wonderfully weathered character!
The three stools/tables are still 100% stable. They can still be used, but they are also very beautiful pieces of furniture in themselves. They can also be used as plant stands or pedestal stands (see photos); very lovely!
The three pieces will be carefully packed and insured for shipment.
