Themed collection - 1876 Manuscript Receipt - Emilio De Tipaldo signed

1876 Autograph Receipt – Emilio De Tipaldo to Eloisa Tipaldo Valaoriti (Aristotelis Valaoritis Family) A rare and authentic 19th-century historical document (manuscript receipt) dated February 29, 1876 (Leap Day), signed by the prominent scholar Emilio De Tipaldo. Emilio De Tipaldo (1798–1878) was a Greek-Italian nobleman, journalist, and a towering figure of the Italian "Risorgimento" period letters. He is most famous for his monumental work "Biografia degli Italiani illustri nelle scienze, lettere ed arti del secolo XVIII" (Biography of illustrious Italians of the 18th century), a cornerstone of Italian biographical history. He served as the Director of the Marciana National Library in Venice, one of the most prestigious positions in the world of letters. He was a bridge between Greek and Italian culture, maintaining a salon in his villa in Mirano (where this document was signed) that hosted the greatest intellectuals of the era. Connection to the National Poet of Greece: The document is addressed to his daughter, Eloisa Tipaldo Valaoriti. Eloisa was the wife of Aristotelis Valaoritis, the National Poet of Greece and a key political figure in the Ionian Islands. This document provides an intimate glimpse into the financial transactions and the lifestyle of the Tipaldo-Valaoritis family, two of the most influential dynasties of the Ionian nobility. Date: 29 February 1876. Location: Mirano, Italy. Revenue Stamp: Features an original 5 Centesimi "Regno d'Italia" embossed stamp. Watermark: Very clear and rare government watermark of the "REGNO D'ITALIA" with the House of Savoy coat of arms (visible under backlighting). Content: A receipt confirming the payment of 900 Lire from Eloisa to her father for a monthly life annuity (vitalizio). Excellent condition for its age. The ink remains vibrant, and the paper is well-preserved with no tears affecting the text. Strong custom made packing, registered shipping.
