Contessa Piccolette – compact bellows camera – 127 film
Offered: a classic Contessa Piccolette bellows camera, produced by Contessa-Nettel (later merged into Zeiss Ikon) in Germany, circa 1910–1920.
This model is a fine example of early portable photography and was at the time intended as a compact “pocket camera” for amateur photographers. The camera uses 127 roll film and produces images of approximately 4 x 6.5 cm.
Staat en conditie
- The camera is in a neat, used condition with clear signs of age and wear, appropriate for an object over 100 years old.
- Original covering present with visible craquelure and wear
- Front plate with the inscription “Piccolette” clearly legible, with wear around the lens
- Lens present (Acro-type), visually inspected; not tested for optical performance
- Bellows present and extendable, with visible aging (not tested for light-tightness)
- Mechanism and shutter not tested
- Film holder/back part present and detachable (see photos)
- Original details and construction largely intact
The camera is sold as a collector’s item and not as a ready-to-use photographic instrument.
