Coffee table - Cast brass - H : 48 cm

Elegant Italian-made coffee table dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950-1960). The piece stands out for the refined pairing between the richness of natural stone and the classic metalwork, in full Hollywood Regency style.

The Top:
The top is made of precious multicolor natural Onyx. Unlike common marble, onyx offers extraordinary translucency (visible when backlit) and a color range from cream to amber, up to deep rust-colored veins. The slab is solid and features a mirror-polish finish in excellent condition.

The Base:
The structure is in finely chased solid brass with shell motifs (rocaille) and acanthus leaves, typical of Rococo/Louis XV style. The Cabriole legs terminate in elegant hoof feet. The base retains its original patina, having been gently cleaned to preserve its historical charm.

Condition:
The piece is in excellent condition for its period. No cracks, chips, or restorations on the onyx slab are reported. The brass structure is solid and stable. As is traditional for this type of furniture, the slab rests on the base to avoid mechanical stresses and preserve the stone's integrity.
