Inspired by the famous "Napoleon crossing the Grand-Saint-Bernard" by Jacques-Louis David, this painting transposes the image of the warlord into the heart of the lunar void.

The horse rears on ground cratered with craters, the astronaut raising his finger toward Earth: a symbol of boundless ambition, of a power that projects itself ever further, even if it means moving away from humanity.

Behind heroism hides the absurdity of endless conquests, whether terrestrial, celestial or ideological.

Teejo is a French contemporary artist. He modernizes old works by great masters by reinventing them with his own vision. He wishes to make (re)discover to the whole world old paintings by great masters sometimes forgotten with time. His passion for classical art has allowed him to develop his talent. He also creates new original works combining poetry, satire, prevention and imagination, conveying many messages through his creations. These works are sold around the world.

He creates his works using digital tools and enjoys mixing and revisiting techniques to obtain the best possible result. He is also the designer of the "perceptual duality", a graphic innovation filed with the Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle allowing multiple images to be obtained in a single painting thanks to color glasses.
