All automatic watches at first use must take a winding from the crown as wrist movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the required power reserve

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid possible damage to the watch mechanism, please do not set the date from the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00 — it is recommended to set the date from the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55 (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings you need to gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Do not forget to screw the crown back properly after setting.)
