Urs Pfannenmüller (born 1943 in Basel) created the acrylic on canvas Untitled 1992, a 150 × 120 cm original surrealist work, signed on the back, unframed and in good condition, originating from Switzerland.
Description from the seller
This acrylic on canvas is signed on the back. The dimensions of the work are 150 x 120 cm. The work is not framed. The piece is in good condition.
Visual artist Urs Pfannenmüller, born in 1943 in Basel, Switzerland, has pursued several courses of study: in 1968 he studied at the Mahlkasse in Basel, in 1970 at the Free Academy in The Hague, and in 1971 he attended a program at St. Martin's School of Art in London. After completing his studies, he decided to live and work in The Hague because of its attractive art climate.
He has worked in various styles, both abstract and figurative-expressionist. A subject that fascinates him and recurs regularly in his work is the contrast between nature and artificiality. For example, he has recently created paintings that depict the changing relationship between humans and nature. Objects that seemingly come from trash drift randomly through space or artificial landscapes. The objects appear to form skeletons or faces and have lost their original meaning.
In 1990 Pfannenmüller began making sculptural works. Creations that stand outdoors and can be admired by everyone include, among others, 'Bicycle & Stable' in The Hague.
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framery, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional organization: 'Restorers Netherlands'. If you would like to use this service, please let us know.
