Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works you can see the great fascination that Italian art of the 1900s has exerted on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà, and de Chirico. In his forty years of artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including television programs dedicated entirely to him. The artist’s work has been discussed by the most important newspapers and broadcasting and radio stations. Among the most notable events is the grand exhibition Centoeventigiorni held in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rome, in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria; and BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. His paintings have been used for about six years as sets for the GEO program on Rai 3. His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and throughout the rest of Europe.
Oil painting and mixed media on canvas-topped panel.
In art, Mixed Media denotes a work created using multiple materials or different techniques within the same composition. The artist is therefore free to use and mix any technique or material to create his work.
The painting is a seascape—the memory’s landscapes. The work is provided with a signed and stamped Certificate of Authenticity and shipped via FedEx courier.
